An eight-run explosion in the tenth inning led the Irish Hills Leprechauns (4-4) to an 11-3 win in 10 innings over the Lorain County Ironmen (3-5) at The Pipeyard on Sunday.

The Irish Hills Leprechauns scored in the tenth on a three-run triple by Jack Clark, , an RBI single by Carsten Dembeck, a two-run single by Andrew Dayfield, and an RBI single by Freddy Jehle.

Clark racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Irish Hills Leprechauns.

Cliffton Landess allowed one earned run, five hits and two walks while striking out four over 6 2/3 innings of work.

Brett Nearing improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Irish Hills Leprechauns. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered no hits.

Milo Sklar ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked three, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
