A 10-run explosion in the first inning led the Walla Walla (10-3) to a 15-2 win in seven innings over the Grays Harbor at Warrior Field on Sunday.
The Walla Walla scored in the first on an RBI single by Blake Macdonald, a two-run error, an RBI single by Dylan Shuler, a two-run single by Steven Sordahl, a two-run single by Garrett March, and a two-run double by Macdonald.
Sordahl got a hit in each of his two at bats.
Griffin Davis had an impressive outing against the Grays Harbor (0-10)'s lineup. Davis held the Grays Harbor hitless over four innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four.
Max Thomas (0-1) took the loss for the Grays Harbor. He allowed 10 runs in two-thirds of an inning, walked one and struck out none.
The Walla Walla hammered the Grays Harbor pitching as eight hitters had a field day, combining for 16 hits, 12 RBIs and 12 runs scored.
