Rob Andreoli went 2-4, helping the Brockton Rox (23-23) to a 3-2 victory over the Pittsfield Suns (17-28) on Thursday at Campanelli Stadium.
He tripled in the fourth inning and singled in the sixth inning.Ryan Simpler was effective even in defeat, mowing down seven the Brockton Rox batters and allowing three runs.
Matt Fogarty improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Brockton Rox. He allowed one run over one inning. Fogarty struck out two, walked one and gave up one hit.
Simpler ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year.
