The Worcester Bravehearts offense too much for the Torrington Titans in 11-1 rout

Story by Narrative Science.

The Worcester Bravehearts (31-15) refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against the Torrington Titans (17-27), recording an 11-1 victory on Wednesday at Hanover Insurance Park at Fitto.

Five runs in the first three innings allowed the Worcester Bravehearts to put the game away early.

An RBI single by Ryan Ward, an RBI single by Joe Caico, and a three-run home run by Austin Lonestar during the first inning supplied the early offense for the Worcester Bravehearts.

Brady Furdon picked up the win for the Worcester Bravehearts. Furdon pitched six innings and allowed one earned run, six hits and three walks while striking out five.

Mike DeMartino got on base three times in the game for the Torrington Titans. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the fourth inning.

Nick Williams was charged with his second loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in three innings, walked none and struck out four.
