The North Shore Navigators best the Nashua Silver Knights in shootout, 12-8

The bats were busy at Fraser Field on Sunday, and when the dust cleared the North Shore Navigators (19-20) had a 12-8 win over the Nashua Silver Knights (23-14).

The two teams combined for 29 hits in the game.

Alex Brickman put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the North Shore Navigators. He singled in the fourth inning and doubled in the fifth and seventh innings.

The Nashua Silver Knights couldn't get anything going as long as Jake Dexter was pitching. The Nashua Silver Knights managed just one hit off of Dexter, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his four innings of work.

It was a good day at the plate for the Nashua Silver Knights' Mickey Gasper. Gasper went 3-5, drove in one and scored two runs. He homered in the first inning and singled in the third and sixth innings.

Sean ONeill improved to 1-2 on the year by picking up the win for the North Shore Navigators. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered one hit.

Connor Gavin couldn't get it done on the bump for the Nashua Silver Knights, taking a loss. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed four runs.

The North Shore Navigators were sparked by Jordan Roper and Mack Nathanson, who teamed up for eight hits and seven RBIs.
