Thursday was a great day for Ryan Sullivan, as he hit two home runs to carry the Nashua Silver Knights (17-7) to a 9-5 victory over the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs (9-16) at Doyle Field.
Sullivan racked up seven RBIs on three hits for the Nashua Silver Knights. He doubled in the second inning and homered in the seventh and eighth innings.
Scott Manea led the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs' offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He scored one run and had two RBIs. He homered in the third inning.
Mike Geannelis got the win, running his season record to 3-1. He allowed three runs over six innings. He struck out five, walked four and surrendered seven hits.
Andrew Sesto (0-1) took the loss for the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs. He lasted just one inning, walked two, struck out none, and allowed three runs.
