Jacob Rhinesmith went 2-3, sparking the Marthas Vineyard Sharks (7-12) to a 4-3 victory over the North Shore Navigators (6-13) on Thursday at Fraser Field.

Jack Nelson struck out 11, paving the way for a the Marthas Vineyard Sharks win. Nelson allowed three earned runs, five hits and two walks over seven innings.

Despite the loss, the North Shore Navigators' Richie Cruz dominated the Marthas Vineyard Sharks' batters, giving up three runs and striking out eight.

MacDaniel Singleton had a hot bat for the North Shore Navigators. Singleton went 3-4 and drove in one. He doubled in the sixth inning and singled in the third and eighth innings.

Clay Yianacopolus (0-1) took the loss for the North Shore Navigators. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.
