The Torrington Titans outdone by Cimmino and the Pittsfield Suns, 5-4

Chris Cimmino went 1-3 as the Pittsfield Suns (12-17) took home a 5-4 victory over the Torrington Titans (12-17) in eight innings at Fuessenich Park on Tuesday.

He doubled in the sixth inning.

Declan Cronin put together a nice outing. Cronin held the Torrington Titans hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out three.

Nick Mondak was effective even in defeat, mowing down eight the Pittsfield Suns batters and allowing two runs.

Nick Lamberti went a perfect 3-3 at the dish for the Torrington Titans. He singled in the first, third, and fourth innings.

Matt Cuneo recorded his fourth win of the year for the Pittsfield Suns. He struck out one, walked two and surrendered two hits.

Blair Lewis ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
