The North Shore Navigators (6-12) beat the Brockton Rox (9-10) 4-3 on Wednesday at Fraser Field behind MacDaniel Singleton, who went 2-2.
He doubled in the third inning and singled in the fifth inning.The Brockton Rox had no answer for Brian Burke, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Brockton Rox managed just one hit off of the the North Shore Navigators' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out one during his 3 1/3 innings of work.
Ishmael Edwards boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 3-3 day at the plate to pace the Brockton Rox. He singled in the second, fourth, and sixth innings.
Nathan Grant (0-2) took the loss for the Brockton Rox. He lasted just two innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed one run.
