The Bristol Blues make the most of 5 hits in 5-2 victory over the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs

The Bristol Blues (11-10) and the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs (8-14) both had scoring chances on Saturday, but it was the Bristol Blues that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 5-2 win at Doyle Field.

Andrew Kendrick racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Bristol Blues. He homered in the eighth inning.

Izzy Fuentes handled the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs' lineup with ease, racking up seven strikeouts. Fuentes allowed one earned run on four hits and three walks over five innings.

Anthony Assante pitched lights out for the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs. Assante held the Bristol Blues hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out four.

Paul Versteeg improved to 3-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Bristol Blues. He allowed one run over two innings. He struck out four, walked none and surrendered two hits.
