The Torrington Titans (7-12) beat the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs (7-12) 6-5 on Wednesday at Fuessenich Park behind Mike DeMartino, who had two extra base hits.

Nick Mondak struck out 10 hitters en route to the the Torrington Titans win. Mondak allowed two earned runs on seven hits and no walks over six innings.

Grant Hoover had a hot bat for the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs. Hoover went 3-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the first and third innings and doubled in the sixth inning.

Corey Hart was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out six, and allowed two runs.
