Both the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs (5-4) and the Brockton Rox (5-4) put runners aboard on Saturday, but it was the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 5-4 win at Campanelli Stadium.

A bright spot for the Brockton Rox in the defeat was Dan Rajowski (UCONN), who allowed only zero runs while striking out five.

Anthony Sylvester (Franklin Pierce) improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered one hit.

Nathan Grant (Saint Bonaventure) was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
