The Wachusett Dirt Dawgs (4-4) and the Seacoast Mavericks (3-5) both had scoring chances on Friday, but it was the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 6-2 win at Leary Field.

TJ Ward (Hartford) reached base three times in the game for the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs. He singled in the third inning and doubled in the ninth inning.

PJ Browne (Merrimack) picked up the win for the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs. Browne allowed one earned run, five hits and no walks while striking out five over six innings of work.

Marshall Gei (University of Kentucky) was hot from the plate for the Seacoast Mavericks. Gei went 3-4 and scored one run. He singled in the second, fourth, and ninth innings.

Mitchell Powers (SNHU) was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out seven, and allowed four runs.
