A walk-off single from Luke Glancy (Tulane University) brought home the winning run for the Nashua Silver Knights (3-0) in a 5-4 victory over the North Shore Navigators at Holman Stadium on Friday.
Glancy had two extra-base hits for the Nashua Silver Knights. He homered in the third inning, doubled in the seventh inning, and singled in the ninth inning.
Cam Lafleur (University of Rhode Island) had an impressive outing against the North Shore Navigators (0-2)'s lineup. LaFleur held the North Shore Navigators hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three.
The Nashua Silver Knights had no answer for Nick Malatesta (Saint Josephs College of Maine), who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Malatesta gave up just three hits, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out one during his five innings of work.
Jake Nelson (University of Pennsylvania) improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Nashua Silver Knights. He allowed one run over one inning. Nelson struck out two, walked none and gave up three hits.
Sean ONeill (Brandeis University) couldn't get it done on the rubber for the North Shore Navigators, taking a loss. He lasted just zero innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
