Both the Worcester Bravehearts (2-0) and the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs (0-3) put runners aboard on Friday, but it was the Worcester Bravehearts that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 3-0 win at Hanover Insurance Park at Fitto.

Zack Tower (UMASS Lowell) racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Worcester Bravehearts. He homered in the seventh inning.

Frankie Moscatiello (Saint Thomas Aquinas) pitched lights out for the Worcester Bravehearts. Moscatiello held the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs hitless over four innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out seven.

Greg Stagani (West Liberty) recorded his first win of the year for the Worcester Bravehearts. He struck out six, walked none and surrendered seven hits.

PJ Browne (Merrimack) (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 6 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out six, and allowed three runs.
