The Chemeketa (7-8) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 5-3 to the Bellevue (13-4) on Saturday.
While the Chemeketa led until the fifth inning, the Bellevue worked their way back and took the lead on an RBI double by Jordan LaFave.
LaFave had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the third and fifth innings.
Dominic DeMiero kept contact to a minimum, striking out seven the Chemeketa batters. DeMiero allowed three earned runs, four hits and two walks over seven innings.
Chase Thometz had an impressive outing against the Bellevue's lineup. Thometz gave up just two hits, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four during his 3 2/3 innings of work.
Thometz ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year.
