A superb effort by Matthew Martinez hoisted the Top Speed Baseball (21-1) to an 8-5 win over the Klamath Falls Gems (9-9) on Tuesday at Drake High.

Martinez hit two home runs for the Top Speed Baseball. Martinez went 3-4 in the game with two RBIs and two runs scored. Martinez homered in the third and fifth innings.

The Klamath Falls Gems couldn't get anything going so long as Chrit Rudkin was on the hill. The Klamath Falls Gems managed just one hit off of Rudkin, who allowed one earned run, walked one and struck out three during his 3 2/3 innings of work.

Alex Alvarado racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Klamath Falls Gems. He singled in the second, fourth, and eighth innings.

Noah Jarboe (3-1) took the loss for the Klamath Falls Gems. He allowed seven runs in six innings, walked three and struck out two.
