Both the Klamath Falls Gems (8-7) and the California Bees (7-11) put runners aboard on Saturday, but it was the Klamath Falls Gems that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 5-3 win at Kiger Stadium.

Wes Carswell was hot from the plate for the Klamath Falls Gems. Carswell went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He tripled in the second innings.

Jacob Trujillo picked up the win for the Klamath Falls Gems. Trujillo allowed one earned run, eight hits and one walk while striking out four over seven innings of work.

It was a good day at the plate for the California Bees' Donovan Buechs. Buechs went 3-4 and drove in one. He singled in the first, fifth, and seventh innings.

Chris Moreno (0-2) took the loss for the California Bees. He lasted just 3 2/3 innings, walked six, struck out five, and allowed five runs.
