Fourth-inning rally sparks blowout win for the Clark, 13-3

A nine-run explosion in the fourth inning carried the Clark (10-14) to a 13-3 win in seven innings over the Clackamas at Clackamas Community College Sof on Saturday.

The Clark scored in the fourth on an RBI single by Kaden Betsch, an RBI single by Marco Murillo, an RBI single by Ian Sugrue, an RBI single by Brandon Zimmerman, an RBI single by Zimmerman, an RBI single by Ian Humphrey, an RBI double by Alex Rivera, an RBI single by Brandan Griffith, and an RBI single by Parker Woodley.

Zimmerman got on base three times in the game for the Clark. He scored three runs and had one RBI.

Chris Carns kept contact to a minimum, striking out 10 the Clackamas (5-16) batters. Carns allowed three earned runs on three hits and three walks over seven innings.

Nick Martin had a hot bat for the Clackamas. Martin went 2-3, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the third inning and doubled in the seventh inning.

Chris Painter (1-3) took the loss for the Clackamas. He allowed eight runs in 3 1/3 innings, walked three and struck out two.
