Brianna Attwood was cold coming off the bench, but Attwood warmed up quickly as Attwood stroked a key pinch-hit single in the three to lead the Bellevue (11-3) to a 9-3 win over the Chemeketa (5-8) on Saturday at Bellevue College- Softball Fiel.
With the Bellevue trailing by one in the third inning, Attwood came to the plate and singled.
The Bellevue's bats came to life in the fifth inning. The Chemeketa had no answer as the Bellevue scored six runs. The Bellevue scored in the fifth on a groundout by Cierra Barkis, a two-run single by Rachael Delamare, a solo home run by Tessani Dixon, a single by Cassidy Mast, and a solo home run by Rayne Sylvester.
Dixon racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Bellevue.
Ciera Lockwood recorded his sixth win of the year for the Bellevue. He allowed three runs over seven innings. Lockwood struck out one, walked two and gave up five hits.
Megan Henshaw ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He allowed nine runs in six innings, walked two and struck out four.
