Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Saturday as the Wenatchee Valley (11-10) outscored the Blue Mountain (3-24) 12-9 in seven innings.
The two teams combined for 30 hits in the game.
Nikki Mather was solid at the plate for the Wenatchee Valley. Mather went 3-5, drove in one and scored three runs. He singled in the third and fifth innings and doubled in the seventh inning.
Sarah Bonner boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 4-4 day at the plate to pace the Blue Mountain. He homered in the first inning and singled in the second, fourth, and seventh innings.
Stephanie Granger recorded his seventh win for the Wenatchee Valley even though he allowed eight runs over four innings. He struck out none, walked three and surrendered 11 hits.
Carlie Chaulsett-Utley (1-1) took the loss for the Blue Mountain. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
