Strauss struck out four and allowed no walks and eight hits.

Ryelynn Mendoza led the Spokane's offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He singled in the first and sixth innings.

Serenida Marquez (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just seven innings, walked three, struck out six, and allowed five runs.
