Early lead not enough for the Wenatchee Valley, drop 4-3 decision to the Spokane

The Wenatchee Valley (20-15) built an early edge on Friday, but the Spokane (26-14) roared back to steal a 4-3 victory at Spokane Falls Community College.

While the Wenatchee Valley led until the sixth inning, the Spokane worked their way back and took the lead on an RBI double by Kourtney Keenan.

Courtney Adams was hot from the plate for the Spokane. Adams went 2-2 and scored two runs. He singled in the third and sixth innings.

Nikki Mather was solid at the plate for the Wenatchee Valley. Mather went 3-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the first, second, and fifth innings.

Michele Strauss improved to 20-4 on the year by picking up the win for the Spokane. He allowed three runs over seven innings. Strauss struck out five, walked one and gave up 11 hits.

Kylee Lambert couldn't get it done on the bump for the Wenatchee Valley, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked three, struck out four, and allowed four runs.
