Gay leads the North Idaho to 20-6 win over the Blue Mountain

A magnificent effort by Brittany Gay lifted the North Idaho (23-9) to a 20-6 win in seven innings over the Blue Mountain (5-35) on Friday at BMCC Softball Field .

Gay blasted two home runs for the North Idaho. Gay went 2-4 in the game with five RBIs and two runs scored. Gay homered in the fifth and seventh innings.

The North Idaho continued to pile on the runs until the end of the game. The North Idaho scored eight runs in the final one innings to cap the blowout win. Katie Barron recorded his tenth win of the year for the North Idaho. He allowed two runs over six innings. Barron struck out seven, walked three and gave up eight hits.

Tiffany Snyder couldn't get it done on the hill for the Blue Mountain, taking a loss. He allowed 11 runs in four innings, walked two and struck out one.

The North Idaho easily handled the Blue Mountain pitching as six hitters combined for 14 hits, 16 RBIs and 15 runs scored.
