Meyer helps the Spokane down the Walla Walla 12-7

Story by Narrative Science.

Cory Meyer had two extra base hits, helping the Spokane (13-9) to a 12-7 victory over the Walla Walla (15-6) on Saturday at Spokane Falls Community College.

He singled in the fifth inning and doubled in the fourth and sixth innings.

Ryan Riepma racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Walla Walla. He singled in the fourth inning and homered in the fifth inning.

Even though Enrique Martinez allowed five runs over four innings he still recorded the victory, his third of the season. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered six hits.

Talon Derrick ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed four runs.

The Spokane's Jake Olson, Meyer, Garrett Hull and Garrett Schmerer combined for 13 hits and six RBIs.
