Saturday was a great day for Evan Douglas, as he clubbed two home runs to carry the Spokane (2-0) to a 16-1 victory over the University of Calgary at Spokane Falls Community College in seven innings.

Douglas racked up six RBIs on two hits for the Spokane. He homered in the first and fourth innings.

Eleven runs in the first three innings helped the Spokane blow out the University of Calgary. A solo home run by Douglas and an RBI single by Ryan Murkle in the first inning and a two-run double by Jordan Ross and a two-run home run by Mitchell Cox during the second inning supplied the early offense for the Spokane.

Jared Smith struck out three, paving the way for a the Spokane win. The Spokane's pitcher gave up just four hits over five shutout innings.

Dekker couldn't get it done on the rubber for the University of Calgary, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in 1 1/3 innings, walked four and struck out none.
