Offenses dominate as the Big Bend outscore the Green River 15-11

The bats were busy at Johnson-O'Brien Stadium on Saturday, and when the dust cleared the Big Bend (10-0) had a 15-11 win over the Green River (0-6).

The two teams combined for 32 hits in the game.

The Big Bend got their bats going early, scoring six runs in the first inning to pull ahead of the Green River. The Big Bend scored in the first on a three-run double by Sam Glowicki, an RBI single by Jaime Vela, an RBI single by Vela, and an RBI single by Aidan Lucas.

Nate Ball got on base five times in the game for the Big Bend. He scored three runs and had one RBI. He singled in the first, third, seventh, and eighth innings.

Sam Krapf brought the heat against the Green River during his outing. Krapf held the Green River hitless over 1 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

Even though Chase Tunstall allowed seven runs over five innings he still recorded the victory, his second of the season. He struck out four, walked two and surrendered seven hits.

James Marshall couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Green River, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in one inning, walked two and struck out none.

The Big Bend pounded the Green River pitching, as eight hitters combined for 16 hits, 13 RBIs and 14 runs scored.
