Zach Zurbrugg collected three hits, sparking the Shoreline (1-7) to a 6-2 victory over the Pierce (3-5) on Wednesday at Mt Tahoma High School .

The Shoreline relied on Jimmy Beaudin to eat up innings en route to the win. Beaudin allowed one earned run, three hits and three walks while striking out two over nine innings of work.

Derek Wells baffled the Shoreline, striking out four batters. Wells allowed one earned run on four hits and one walk over five innings.

Josh Connolly was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
