A six-run explosion in the sixth inning lifted the Bellevue (18-3) to an 11-5 win in seven innings over the Edmonds (9-5) at Bellevue College- Softball Fiel on Saturday.
The Bellevue scored in the sixth on a single by Tessani Dixon, a solo home run by Alex Boyd, , a two-run error, and a solo home run by Brianna Attwood.
Attwood racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Bellevue.
Tia Hedman racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Edmonds. He homered in the fourth inning and singled in the fifth inning.
Payton Gibbs recorded his sixth win of the year for the Bellevue. He allowed two runs over four innings. Gibbs struck out two, walked two and gave up four hits.
Hailey Malakowski was charged with his fifth loss of the year. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
