The Clackamas (5-21) didn't put up much of a fight on Saturday, as the Mt. Hood (17-14) cruised to a blowout 8-2 win in seven innings at Sandy HS.
The Mt. Hood scored four runs in the first on the Mt. Hood scored in the first on an RBI single by Isaac Benard, an RBI single by J.T. Williams, a wild pitch, and an RBI single by Andrew Haley.
Nolan McCall led the Mt. Hood's offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He doubled in the first inning.
Connor Stevenson had an impressive outing against the Clackamas' lineup. The Clackamas managed just one hit off of Stevenson, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his four innings of work.
Matt Fletcher was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in four innings, walked five and struck out one.
