The Tacoma cruise past the Mt. Hood, 12-2

The Mt. Hood (4-7) didn't have a chance on Saturday, as the Tacoma (8-1) won in blowout fashion, 12-2 in eight innings at Everett Memorial Stadium .

The Tacoma scored five runs in the eighth on the Tacoma scored in the eighth on a solo home run by Keylen Steen, an error, a sacrifice fly by Ty Housden, and a groundout by Peter Perkins.

Steen had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits.

Mathew Henckel racked up six strikeouts in the the Tacoma win. Henckel allowed one earned run, three hits and three walks over 4 2/3 innings.

Riley Moore (1-2) took the loss for the Mt. Hood. He lasted just five innings, walked four, struck out four, and allowed five runs.

Reed Johnson, Steen, Alex Hull and Taylor Adams helped lead the Tacoma. They combined for nine hits and four RBIs.
