The Mt. Hood (23-7) and the Clark (13-14) both had scoring chances on Tuesday, but it was the Mt. Hood that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 3-2 win at Saints Baseball Field .
The Mt. Hood relied on Kayla Byers to eat up innings en route to the win. Byers allowed two earned runs, eight hits and no walks while striking out five over seven innings of work.
Kelsey Oldham had two extra-base hits for the Clark. He doubled in the third inning and homered in the sixth inning.
Oldham (7-6) took the loss for the Clark. He lasted just six innings, walked five, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
