The Wenatchee Valley jump on the Yakima Valley early and coast to 10-1 win

The Wenatchee Valley (23-17) jumped out to an early lead on the Yakima Valley (5-38) and captured a 10-1 victory on Wednesday.

With six runs in the first three innings, the Wenatchee Valley left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

An error, a sacrifice fly by Baile Wilkey, an RBI single by Brooke Writer, an RBI single by Caitlyn Seiger, a fielder's choice, and a single by Lexy Pruneda in the second inning supplied the early offense for the Wenatchee Valley.

Korteney Durand had a hot bat for the Wenatchee Valley. Durand went 2-3, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the second and third innings.

Stephanie Granger pitched lights out for the Wenatchee Valley. The Yakima Valley managed just four hits off of the the Wenatchee Valley's pitcher, who allowed one earned run, walked one and struck out two during his five innings of work.

Beth Anderson couldn't get it done on the mound for the Yakima Valley, taking a loss. He allowed 10 runs in four innings, walked two and struck out none.
