Courtney Kent went 2-4, helping the Spokane (28-14) to a 6-2 victory over the Yakima Valley (5-35) on Saturday at Spokane Falls Community College.
He singled in the first innings and tripled in the third inning.Michele Strauss struck out eight, paving the way for a the Spokane win. Strauss allowed two earned runs on six hits and four walks over seven innings.
Beth Anderson ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his twenty-second loss of the year. He allowed six runs in six innings, walked one and struck out one.
