The Bellevue (4-1) and the Pierce (1-3) both threatened with rallies, but it was the Bellevue that eventually took advantage of them in a 5-2 win at Mt Tahoma High School .

Joe Wainhouse racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Bellevue. He homered in the fifth inning.

Zach Usselman brought the heat against the Pierce during his outing. The Pierce managed just three hits off of Usselman, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three during his four innings of work.

Hudson Byorick boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 3-3 day at the plate to pace the Pierce. He homered in the second inning, doubled in the fourth inning, and singled in the sixth inning.

Griffin Stiffarm ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed three runs.
