The Blue Mountain (10-16) beat the Spokane (16-10) 7-4 on Saturday at Spokane Falls Community College behind Tanner Heiman, who had three extra base hits.
He homered in the first inning, doubled in the third inning, and tripled in the eighth inning.Cody Pedroza brought the heat against the Spokane during his outing. Pedroza held the Spokane hitless over 2 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two.
Mitch Guiberson (1-1) took the loss for the Spokane. He lasted just 3 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
The Blue Mountain were sparked by Logan Cordeiro and Heiman, who teamed up for five hits and four RBIs.
