The Blue Mountain get on top of the Mt. Hood early but can't hang on in 2-1 loss

The Blue Mountain (1-5) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 2-1 to the Mt. Hood (3-5) on Saturday.

While the Blue Mountain led until the seventh inning, the Mt. Hood worked their way back and took the lead on an error.

Seth Rayburn picked up the win for the Mt. Hood. Rayburn pitched six innings and allowed one earned run, six hits and one walk while striking out three.

A bright spot for the Blue Mountain in the defeat was Taylor Gulick, who allowed only one run while striking out five.

Nathan Pena was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed one run.
