Fourth-inning rally sparks blowout win for the Douglas, 8-0

The Douglas (23-6) beat the Edmonds 8-0 in five innings on Tuesday at Softball City after a five-run explosion in the fourth inning.

The Douglas scored in the fourth on an RBI double by Daniella Vilio, an RBI single by Janessa Neufeld, and a three-run home run by Jordan Britten-yung.

Britten-yung racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Douglas.

Michaela Moore held the Edmonds (18-16) scoreless during his five innings of work. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on two hits while ringing up two.

Hailey Malakowski was charged with his thirteenth loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in 3 2/3 innings, walked none and struck out two.
