The Douglas (6-3) failed to take advantage of Dallas Tilley's effort at the plate on Tuesday, losing 8-7 to the Shoreline (5-5) in eight innings at Softball City .

Tilley hit two home runs for the Douglas. Tilley went 2-4 in the game with four RBIs and two runs scored. Tilley homered in the first and seventh innings.

Chelsea Foster had a hot bat for the Shoreline. Foster went 3-4, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the fourth and sixth innings and doubled in the seventh inning.

Kathryn Goff recorded his third win for the Shoreline even though he allowed seven runs over seven innings. He struck out one, walked three and surrendered 11 hits.

Keeley Ainge ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
