Shevan DeFreitas clubbed two home runs, but it wasn't enough to carry the SW Oregon (16-5) to a win on Saturday, as the SW Oregon fell to the Lower Columbia (18-4) 6-4 at Southwestern Oregon Baseball Fi in seven innings.
Nicole Bolasky was solid at the plate for the Lower Columbia. Bolasky went 3-5, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the second, fourth, and seventh innings.
Krystina Fischer improved to 10-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Lower Columbia. He allowed four runs over four innings. Fischer struck out one, walked none and gave up six hits.
DeFreitas ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
