The Lower Columbia (16-4) took down the Clackamas 9-1 on Wednesday at Clackamas Community College Sof after slamming the Clackamas (16-5) with seven runs in the seventh inning.
The Lower Columbia scored in the seventh on an RBI single by Ashley Kelly, an RBI single by Sam Boyce, an RBI single by Boyce, a two-run double by Hannah Rothwell, an RBI single by Madi Barr, and a two-run double by Maggie Harshaw.
Barr had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits.
Hailey Frilot got a hit in each of his three at bats. He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the second and seventh innings.
Bailey Ellis recorded his fourth win of the year for the Lower Columbia. He allowed one run over five innings. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered five hits.
Emily Marchbanks (8-2) took the loss for the Clackamas. He allowed six runs in six innings, walked two and struck out four.
Harshaw, Barr and Rothwell helped lead the Lower Columbia. They combined for seven hits and six RBIs.
