Fifth-inning rally sparks blowout win for the Bellevue, 15-1

An eight-run explosion in the fifth inning lifted the Bellevue (13-3) to a 15-1 win in five innings over the Olympic at Lions Field on Tuesday.

The Bellevue scored in the fifth on a solo home run by Brianna Attwood, a two-run double by Payton Gibbs, a two-run double by Rayne Sylvester, an RBI single by Attwood, and a two-run single by Tinerra Adams.

Attwood went a perfect 3-3 at the plate for the Bellevue.

Gibbs improved to 4-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Bellevue. He allowed one run over four innings. Gibbs struck out four, walked two and gave up three hits.

Amanda Lyyski was charged with his fifth loss of the year. He lasted just three innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed three runs.

The Bellevue hammered the Olympic (2-13) pitching as six hitters had a field day, combining for 15 hits, 11 RBIs and 12 runs scored.
