The Tacoma (27-10) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 3-2 to the Lower Columbia (28-9) on Friday.
A wild pitch gave the Lower Columbia the lead in the eighth inning.
The Tacoma couldn't get anything going as long as Max Tilton was pitching. The Tacoma managed just one hit off of Tilton, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out none during his three innings of work.
Garrett Smith ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked two, struck out none, and allowed one run.
