Tilton's big day not enough as the Lower Columbia fall to the Edmonds, 2-1

Max Tilton pitched 8 1/3 shutout innings, but it wasn't enough to carry the Lower Columbia (13-7) to a win on Saturday, as the Lower Columbia fell to the Edmonds (15-5) 2-1 at Triton Field in 19 innings.

A walk-off single by Justin Polzin gave the Edmonds the win.

It was a good day at the plate for the Edmonds' Polzin. Polzin went 1-8 and drove in one. He singled in the nineteenth inning.

Austin Whitehouse improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Edmonds. He allowed one run over one inning. Whitehouse struck out one, walked two and gave up one hit.

Jake Roes couldn't get it done on the mound for the Lower Columbia, taking a loss. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked four, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
