The Tacoma (7-0) beat the Yakima Valley (6-4) 6-4 on Friday at Triton Field behind Reed Johnson, who collected three hits.

He singled in the first and fourth innings and doubled in the sixth inning.

Karsten Sherman led the Yakima Valley's offensive threat, as he got on base four times in the game. He also drove in one runner. He singled in the second innings.

Parker Depasquale pitched lights out for the Yakima Valley. The Tacoma managed just one hit off of the the Yakima Valley's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out one during his 2 2/3 innings of work.
