The Big Bend (22-9) beat the Treasure Valley (24-16) 7-3 on Saturday at BBCC Baseball Field behind Blake Springer, who went 2-3 and hit a home run.
He singled in the third inning and homered in the fifth inning.The Treasure Valley couldn't get anything going as long as Sam Krapf was pitching. The Treasure Valley managed just one hit off of Krapf, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two during his four innings of work.
Kade Hall put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Treasure Valley. He doubled in the third inning and homered in the fifth inning.
Branden Cutsforth was charged with his fourth loss of the year. He allowed six runs in six innings, walked three and struck out six.
