Nate Ball went 2-4, sparking the Big Bend (4-0) to a 4-3 victory over the Thompsons River on Friday at Larson Playfield.

Chase Tunstall pitched lights out for the Big Bend. The Thompsons River managed just two hits off of Tunstall, who allowed one earned run, walked two and struck out two during his six innings of work.

J Young paced the Thompsons River at the plate. Young went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He doubled in the seventh inning and singled in the eighth inning.

R Gillis pitched eight innings and allowed three earned runs, four hits and two walks while striking out none.

Gillis (0-2) was the game's losing pitcher.
