A magnificent effort by Elise Shenk carried the Treasure Valley (11-13) to a 9-8 win in seven innings over the Columbia Basin (21-7) on Friday at Heinz/Ore-Ida Regional Softball.

Shenk hit two home runs for the Treasure Valley. Shenk went 2-3 in the game with three RBIs and two runs scored. Shenk homered in the second and fourth innings.

Each team blasted the other's pitching, and there were 17 total runs and 24 hits during the game.

Kadi Patterson racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Columbia Basin. He doubled in the first inning and homered in the fourth inning.

Bailee Mills got his eighth win for the Treasure Valley despite allowing eight runs over seven innings. Mills struck out four, walked two and gave up 10 hits.

Kayla Andrews couldn't get it done on the mound for the Columbia Basin, taking a loss. He allowed nine runs in six innings, walked four and struck out seven.
