A magnificent effort by Kadi Patterson spurred the Columbia Basin (20-6) to an 8-1 win in seven innings over the Big Bend (7-17) on Tuesday at CBC Softball Field.

Patterson blasted three home runs for the Columbia Basin. Patterson went 4-4 in the game with three RBIs and three runs scored. Patterson homered in the first, third, and fifth innings.

Everything was working at the plate for the the Columbia Basin in the third. In the inning the Columbia Basin scored five runs. The Columbia Basin scored in the third on an RBI single by Maddy Jones, , and a solo home run by Patterson.

Kayla Andrews picked up the win for the Columbia Basin. Andrews allowed one earned run, five hits and no walks while striking out three over seven innings of work.

Shayla Baker ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his seventh loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in six innings, walked three and struck out seven.
