Three first-inning runs helped the Columbia Basin (16-6) to a 5-0 win over the Blue Mountain (2-18) at CBC Softball Field on Friday.
The Columbia Basin scored in the first on a two-run double by Kayla Andrews and an RBI single by Carlie Wyant.
Andrews had three extra-base hits for the Columbia Basin.
Sarah Gilliam had an impressive outing against the Blue Mountain's lineup. The Blue Mountain managed just three hits off of Gilliam, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out two during his five innings of work.
Sarah Bonner (1-1) took the loss for the Blue Mountain. He lasted just one inning, walked three, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
The Columbia Basin were sparked by Suzanna Lubanski and Andrews, who teamed up for five hits and four RBIs.
